Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Monday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Shane Baz (SP – TB) vs. CWS
Shane Baz is in fantastic form. According to FanGraphs, he’s had the following stats in his previous five starts spanning 32.2 innings.
- 3.31 ERA
- 3.31 xFIP
- 3.39 SIERA
- 1.10 WHIP
- Two wins
- Four quality starts
- 7.7 BB%
- 27.7 K%
- 13.8 SwStr%
- 29.6 CSW%
- 106 stuff+
- 103 location+
- 111 pitching+
Baz has an ideal matchup for staying hot. The White Sox are 29th in wRC+ (79) with a 22.2 K% versus righties and 28th in wRC+ (82) with a 24.6 K% on the road this year. Chicago was also just 24th in wRC+ (89) with a 21.9 K% in the previous 30 days. So, the Rays are listed as -205 favorites, and the game’s total is 9.0 runs.
George Kirby (SP – SEA) vs. MIL
The Mariners are -120 favorites, and the game’s total is 7.0 runs. So, maybe I should have George Kirby ranked ahead of Baz. However, Kirby’s matchup is more imposing. The Brewers are tied for 15th in wRC+ (102) with a 20.7 K% versus righties and fifth in wRC+ (109) with a 20.2 K% on the road this season. Moreover, Milwaukee was tied for fourth in wRC+ (124) with a DFS-unfriendly 17.4 K% in the previous 30 days.
Still, Kirby is in stellar form. In his previous five starts totaling 28.1 innings, he’s had the following stats.
- 3.18 ERA
- 3.42 xFIP
- 3.52 SIERA
- 0.95 WHIP
- Three wins
- Three quality starts
- 4.5 BB%
- 23.2 K%
- 11.5 SwStr%
- 28.8 CSW%
- 95 stuff+
- 115 location+
- 109 pitching+
Despite the challenging matchup, the betting info and Kirby’s stellar numbers lately were enough to nab the second spot in tonight’s MLB DFS pitcher rankings.
Brandon Woodruff (SP – MIL) at SEA
Brandon Woodruff is opposing Kirby, and the Brewers are slight underdogs (EVEN). However, the game’s total is also a pitcher-friendly 7.0 runs for Woodruff. Milwaukee’s righty has a more challenging matchup than Kirby, as the Mariners are fourth in wRC+ (117) with a 21.9 K% versus righties in 2025. Seattle was also first in wRC+ (131) with a 21.7 K% in the previous 30 days. However, the Mariners are also only tied for 16th in wRC+ (105) with an exploitable 24.4 K% at home. Thus, the matchup isn’t entirely terrifying.
Woodruff could also be equipped to tie up the Mariners. In two starts spanning 10.1 innings for the Brewers this year, Woodruff has a blistering 2.61 ERA, 2.21 xERA, 0.62 xFIP, 0.98 SIERA and 0.68 WHIP. Woodruff’s outstanding numbers are supported by his 0.0 BB%, 47.4 K%, 12.6 SwStr%, 37.1 CSW%, 97 stuff+, 118 location+ and 111 pitching+. As a result, Woodruff’s ceiling is worth chasing in GPPs.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
Bryce Elder is a tire fire at home. In 61.1 innings at home since last year, he’s had a 7.19 ERA and 4.78 xFIP. Elder also had a 9.47 ERA, 4.27 xFIP, 4.45 SIERA and 2.26 WHIP in his past four starts. Elder also coughed up 2.84 HR/9 in those four turns. The Giants can tee off against Atlanta’s struggling righty.
- Home (Coors Field)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 12.0 Runs/COL +115
Michael McGreevy‘s 4.22 ERA in four appearances (three starts) this year has outkicked his 4.90 xERA. The righty’s 4.04 xFIP and 3.98 SIERA in 2025 aren’t particularly impressive, either. In addition, McGreevy had a 4.13 ERA, 4.00 FIP and 1.35 WHIP in 66 career starts in Triple-A. Coors Field isn’t a get-right spot for the 25-year-old righty. Instead, the Rockies should rough up McGreevy.
Core Studs

Monday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Check out our best picks on the MLB Underdog Cheat Sheet
Willy Adames (SS – SF): 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher
Adames is on fire and has a plus matchup tonight. Elder has yielded 58 hits, a .305 batting average, .350 OBP, .537 SLG and .381 wOBA to 204 right-handed batters this year. Adames should have ample run production opportunities from the heart of San Francisco’s lineup.
Heliot Ramos (OF – SF): 6.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
Heliot Ramos is a handful on the road for righties. In 353 career plate appearances against right-handed pitching on the road, Ramos has hit 16 homers with a .317 OBP, .201 ISO, .336 wOBA and 116 wRC+. He should take advantage of the plus matchup against Elder.
Nick Kurtz (1B – ATH): 8.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
Nick Kurtz is a beast with the platoon advantage. He’s mashed 14 taters with a .383 OBP, .354 ISO, .433 wOBA and 179 wRC+ in 184 plate appearances against righties in his rookie season.
