Vinicius Oliveira has quickly become one of the brightest prospects in the UFC bantamweight division.
This past Saturday, the premier promotion returned to Louisiana for UFC 318, headlined by a BMF title fight between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier in what was ‘The Diamond’s’ final fight in the Octagon.
With the event having been built entirely around Poirier, UFC boss Dana White stacked the rest of the card out with some exciting fights between some of the fans’ favorites.
And one of them was surging Brazilian bantamweight contender, Vinicius Oliveira, who took on Kyler Phillips on the prelim portion of the event.

Vinicius Oliveira releases rap song days after UFC 318 win
Coming into his fight against Phillips in Louisiana, ‘Lok Dog’ was on an impressive three fight win streak with his last win having come against Said Nurmagomedov.
‘The Matrix’ on the other hand had picked up some impressive wins over the likes of Pedro Munhoz and Raoni Barcelos, but then when matched up against Rob Font, it was just too much of a step up.
And ahead of their clash, Oliveira audaciously claimed that with a win over Phillips, he would call out former 135lb champion Sean O’Malley.
The 29-year-old went on to extend his win streak and remains undefeated in the UFC, putting his name closer to the top 10 of the bantamweight division.
And just days removed from his win over Phillips at UFC 318, the Brazilian has released a rap song called ‘Fenomenal’.
‘Lok Dog’ has several rap songs already released on Spotify, potentially looking to build his career outside of fighting.
What’s next for Vinicius Oliveira in the UFC?
Oliveira will likely take Phillips’ spot at rank 12 when the rankings update on Tuesday, putting him in a perfect position for a top eight opponent.
Although he is hopeful of fighting O’Malley, it is extremely unlikely at this point. Despite that, a fight against former title challenger Marlon Vera could make sense next, with Vera looking to get back into action.
