Conor McGregor has addressed a rumor that he has been removed from the UFC roster.
The former dual-weight champion recently re-entered the UFC drug testing pool ahead of his comeback.
‘Notorious’ is hoping to return when MMA’s premier promotion heads to the White House in July 2026.
However, reports suggested Conor McGregor‘s legendary UFC career was over on Thursday evening.

Conor McGregor shuts down UFC exit talk
UFC Roster Tracker claimed that Conor McGregor had been removed from the UFC roster.
The usually reliable outlet sent MMA fans into a frenzy with their wild claim about MMA’s biggest star.
Dana White quickly shut down the report as ‘total bulls—‘. The UFC CEO was soon joined by McGregor, who tweeted and deleted his X-rated response to a fan touting an unflattering conspiracy theory about the situation.
“That first drug test must have had chemicals never before seen in a lab,” @AndyHickeyMMA joked.
“First test fully clean. P—-,” McGregor responded, with a text screenshot from an unnamed person.
Piro called yesterday. 1st clean. Nice! Will be sending official notice next week,” the person wrote.
“100% natural animal,” McGregor replied alongside a photo of himself shopping.
Dana White provides update on Conor McGregor’s comeback
Just 24 hours before all this drama kicked off, White detailed his recent conversations with McGregor.
The UFC boss seemed confident that McGregor is serious about fighting again in 2026.
The 37-year-old hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
“If you see, he’s been posting videos of himself training, he’s back in the [drug testing] pool now,” White told Pardon My Take. “He wants the White House fight.
“Listen, if he starts getting in shape and training and stays the course, that’s the fight he wants.
“He keeps telling me he wants that fight. We’ll see how it plays out over the next several months.”
