As we continue to get into the heart of fantasy football draft season, we need to closely monitor injuries, which can impact the average draft position (ADP) of each player.
Every week, we’ll dive into the latest fantasy football injuries using FantasyPros’ injury tracker to discuss how much this matters for your fantasy teams.
Read on to learn more about injuries to Malik Nabers, Justin Jefferson, Najee Harris and more.
Fantasy Football Injuries to Know for Your Draft
Malik Nabers (WR – NYG)
Malik Nabers (shoulder/toe) missed practice on Wednesday.
You never want to see one of the most talented wideouts in football deal with a combination of injuries, but at this moment, there’s no reason to be concerned about Malik Nabers. Fire him up at the turn of the first/second round in your fantasy drafts. Jaxson Dart looked good in his debut, which bodes well for Nabers.
Justin Jefferson (WR – MIN)
Justin Jefferson (hamstring) will be re-evaluated next week.
Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell stated that Justin Jefferson is on the right track to return. At this point, there’s no reason to believe that the best wideout in the NFL will miss any regular-season time. Buy the dip on Jefferson if you’re drafting now, as I’ve seen him fall as low as sixth overall.
Najee Harris (RB – LAC)
Najee Harris (eye) took part in drills on Tuesday.
There has been a lot of doom-and-gloom about Najee Harris’ 4th of July freak injury, but I’ve maintained that there’s still time for him to get back on the field for the regular season. With Harris progressing to drills, there’s a good chance he’ll be ready to form a committee with Omarion Hampton in Week 1.
Rhamondre Stevenson (RB – NE)
Rhamondre Stevenson (unspecified) is not dealing with anything serious.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel stated he’s not expecting a long-term absence for Rhamondre Stevenson. While rookie TreVeyon Henderson continues to dominate the headlines, expect Stevenson’s strong, interior running to keep him involved in the offense. This looks like a veteran running back value pick.

Mike Gesicki (TE – CIN)
Mike Gesicki (hamstring) misses practice on Wednesday.
Mike Gesicki has been dealing with a hamstring injury. With Noah Fant now on the team, the Bengals have much better depth at tight end this year. However, it’s unlikely Gesicki will be forced to miss Week 1 with this injury. Just keep an eye out for this one, as any missed time could result in more snaps for Fant.
A.J. Brown (WR – PHI)
A.J. Brown (hamstring) was unavailable for practice on Wednesday.
A.J. Brown is yet another player dealing with a hamstring injury. As with the others on this list, there aren’t any concerns that he’ll miss time right now. With the Eagles projected to pass at a higher rate due to a more challenging schedule, expect Brown to put up improved numbers this season.
Jonnu Smith (TE – PIT)
Jonnu Smith (knee) was absent from practice on Tuesday.
You never want to see a player traded to a new team and already miss time due to injury. However, Jonnu Smith has familiarity with Arthur Smith’s offense, having played for him in Atlanta and Tennessee. That means we don’t have to be concerned that Smith will fall behind due to missed time in camp.
Marquise Brown (WR – KC)
Marquise Brown (foot/ankle) is expected to miss Friday’s preseason game.
Marquise Brown is dealing with foot and ankle injuries, which will keep him out of the lineup for Friday’s preseason game against the Seahawks. Unfortunately, the veteran wideout can’t seem to stay healthy. If you’re looking for a Chiefs receiver other than Rashee Rice or Xavier Worthy, go with Jalen Royals.
