Although Jake Paul announced that his next fight will take place against Gervonta Davis, it isn’t stopping his plans of fighting Anthony Joshua.
Jake Paul last stepped foot in the boxing ring this past June when he took on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in one of his toughest tests to date.
Despite that, ‘The Problem Child’ went on to score another dominant unanimous decision win and was subsequently booed by the crowd in California.
Following his win, Paul went on to make a bizarre call out of former heavyweight boxing world champion Anthony Joshua, and talks seemed to be trending in the right direction.

Paul hints that fight against Joshua could still happen despite recent announcement
Although talks seemed to be trending in the right direction for a clash against Joshua, ‘The Problem Child’ announced this Wednesday that he will be taking on Gervonta Davis next in a super fight.
However, in his announcement, the 28-year-old hinted that although he will be fighting ‘Tank’ on November 14, he will still potentially be fighting Joshua after.
“First David, then Goliath,” Paul said in a post on X.
Not only that, but Paul’s manager Nakisa Bidarian also broke his silence on the fight, stating that Paul vs Joshua was never on the table to happen in 2025.
“I think it’s just a matter of hitting ‘Go’. Jake is looking at it like he wants to show the world that he’s going to fight David and then he plans to take on Goliath,” Bidarian told ESPN.
Jake Paul is being backed by Davis’ former rival
Although ‘Tank’ Davis will undoubtedly be the best fighter Paul has fought thus far in his career, as he is widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound, Paul is being backed by Davis’ former rival.
Ryan Garcia is backing the ‘heavyweight’ to beat Davis because of the huge weight difference, although the official weight is yet to be decided.
