Mike McDaniel initially said De’Von Achane could miss “days to weeks” before trying to downplay the calf injury and suggest he should be fine for Week 1. While that might end up being true, it’s yet another concerning development on a Dolphins team that’s already full of red flags. I’ve moved him down a few spots because of this news. Achane’s backup Jaylen Wright is also dealing with an injury, so keep an eye on rookie Ollie Gordon II, who was an intriguing prospect and has run well in the preseason. Miami might also be a potential destination for Brian Robinson Jr. if he gets traded.

Kenneth Walker III has returned to practice after missing time with a foot injury. The Seahawks’ run game has looked impressive during the preseason, which bodes well for Walker’s fantasy outlook if he can stay healthy. The 24-year-old was the RB12 in fantasy points per game last year and should be extremely effective in Klint Kubiak’s new scheme — even if Zach Charbonnet earns a few more touches. If you’re worried about Walker’s durability, pairing him and Charbonnet on the same roster is totally justifiable.

With the Commanders having moved on from Robinson, it’s created an opening for fantasy value. Everyone is excited about Jacory Croskey-Merritt‘s potential in this offense and he’s moved up to RB35 in my rankings. But be mindful that Austin Ekeler will still factor in on passing-downs and Chris Rodriguez Jr. will be a goal-line option, according to Dan Quinn. That doesn’t mean you should shy away from JCM, just keep your expectations in check for what will likely be a three-man committee.
