Boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya has reignited his longtime feud with UFC boss Dana White following this past Saturday’s mega event.
This past Saturday, TKO boxing held their inaugural event as Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford clashed for the undisputed super middleweight title.
‘Bud’ Crawford went on to score the shock win despite going into the fight as the underdog, leaving the Allegiant Stadium as the new champion of the weight class.
In what was UFC boss Dana White’s first major boxing event as a promoter, the viewing figures landed it in the top three most viewed boxing events, and the third most viewed men’s title fight of the century.

Oscar De La Hoya slams Dana White and Canelo Alvarez
Having dominated the MMA world for several years, White is now turning his attention to fixing the sport of boxing, outlining his plans for 2026.
Despite that, the UFC boss has already begun to receive criticism from the boxing world after going back on the promises he made when he first came into the sport.
And it isn’t just the fans that are on White’s back following the weekend, as his longtime rival Oscar De La Hoya has also launched a scathing attack on him.
White and De La Hoya have clashed in the media on several occasions and they have never seen eye-to-eye.
“I promoted Canelo’s entire career and it was a huge fluff,” De La Hoya began his rant.
“The only real fighters he’s faced were (Floyd) Mayweather, (Dmitry) Bivol and Crawford and they all toyed with him.
“Dana White didn’t have his best week, his t-shirt shrank smaller every minute especially when he was questioned about his attempt to amend the Muhammad Ali Act… TKO needs it to change so they can f— fighters over.
“After this debacle, he decides to skip the undercard and shows up in the beginning of the main event and he’s just watching the UFC on his phone, the entire time. I wonder if he regrets abandoning the UFC for a sport that doesn’t want him… Dana, Canelo, f— you,” De La Hoya continued.
Dana White continues to answer critics
It’s not only Dana’s boxing debut that has been criticized recently as the UFC has also come under fire for a ‘lack of star’ problem.
Since the retirements of the likes of Ronda Rousey and Jon Jones, as well as Conor McGregor being inactive for a while, the critics believe the promotion is lacking star power.
Despite that, White has clapped back at the criticism with an x-rated rant, explaining why the promotion is in a good position.
