Belal Muhammad is fighting down the ladder once again.
The former UFC Welterweight Champion had one of the longest roads to the world title, finally earning his shot at then champ Leon Edwards last year after putting together a 10-fight unbeaten streak.
Muhammad’s title reign didn’t last long after he defeated Edwards as he was dethroned by Jack Della Maddalena in his first title defense in the UFC 315 headliner in May.
Muhammad, 37, didn’t agree with the decision result, but nevertheless the #1 contender will have to fight again if he wants to insert himself back into the title picture at 170 lbs.
In his return, ‘Remember The Name’ is set to meet a familiar face in the welterweight division.

Belal Muhammad vs. Ian Machado Garry co-headlines UFC Qatar
On Wednesday, UFC CEO Dana White announced a top contender double-header for a UFC Fight Night event in Doha, Qatar.
#1 lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan will battle Dan Hooker in the lightweight main event.
Belal Muhammad will co-headline UFC Qatar against #7-ranked welterweight contender Ian Machado Garry on Nov. 22.
The event is set to take place at the ABHA Arena.
Machado Garry (16-1) rebounded from the first loss of his career to Shavkat Rakhmonov with a five-round main event win over ‘Fighting Nerds’ star Carlos Prates in April.
Muhammad is 12-2 (1 NC) in his last 15 UFC fights.
Sean Brady had wanted to fight Belal Muhammad and Ian Machado Garry
We can only imagine Sean Brady’s reaction to Muhammad vs. Machado Garry.
Following his submission win over Leon Edwards at UFC London, the #2-ranked welterweight contender made it clear on several occasions that he was willing to fight both Muhammad and Machado Garry.
Brady is left without an opponent.
The American had wanted to fight Muhammad, Machado Garry, or even Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 322 on Nov. 15, hoping to secure a face-off with the main event winner between Jack Della Maddalena and Islam Makhachev.
Sean Brady is 18-1 as a pro with his only loss coming to Belal Muhammad.
