World Boxing News can exclusively reveal that Argentine super-welterweight Alejandro Silva is preparing for what could be a career-defining 2026.

The 32-year-old, unbeaten star, boasting a record of 25-0-1 with 20 KOs, has his sights firmly set on the top of the division.

Silva reflected on a prosperous 2025, a year highlighted by three standout wins that reinforced his status as one of Argentina’s most exciting fighters.

    On Success and His Team

“I feel very comfortable in the ring. Everything with my trainer, Juan Ledesma, and Westside Promotions is working perfectly,” Silva told WBN. “2025 was very good for me.”

With a strong team behind him, Silva is focused on the ultimate goal: a world title. “I work so hard because I want to be a world champion,” he said. “I trust the plan that Westside Promotions has for me. When they tell me it’s time, I’ll be ready for whoever the opponent might be. I don’t care who it is — as a fighter, I want to face the best and test my skills against theirs.”

Targeting the Top of the Division

Silva has his eyes on the division’s top names, confident in the depth of his skillset. “There are some great champions, each with different qualities. I just want to remain active, improve after each fight, and face opponents who will challenge me and bring the best out of me.”

Plans are already in motion for a potential U.S. debut, with Westside Promotions exploring a training camp in Los Angeles for early 2026. Silva sees this as a crucial step in establishing himself on the global stage.

    Following Argentine Greats

He also expressed pride in following the lineage of Argentine greats. “It would be an honor to be listed among names like Carlos Monzon, Locche, Sergio Martinez, and my all-time favorite, my wife, Yesica Bopp,” Silva said.

More than just brute force, Silva emphasizes a well-rounded game, promising fans a combination of skill, intelligence, and knockout ability. “There’s much more to me than just punching power,” he insisted.

With a busy 2026 schedule ahead, Alejandro Silva is ready to prove that Argentina’s new super-welterweight star is more than just an unbeaten record—he’s a legitimate threat to the world’s best.
