Some of the roster’s most dangerous finishers will step inside the Octagon on Saturday night.

Ciryl Gane has been warned about taking Tom Aspinall into ‘deep water’ to try and stop the undisputed heavyweight champion from continuing his track record of finishing fights quickly.

With four heavyweight matchups booked for October 25, fans will be expecting to see some high impact knockouts at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

There’s also the co-main event between two elite submission artists, with Mackenzie Dern and Virna Jandiroba, who are competing for the vacant strawweight title, combining for a total of 22 submission wins.

The card also boasts a fighter who will look to become the roster’s frontrunner for consecutive finishes if they can extend their streak in their second outing of the year.

Jaqueline Amorim comes into UFC 321 tied for the most consecutive finishes

Even after another heavyweight fight was added to UFC 321, there’s a fighter who couldn’t be any more different who is on the best run regarding finishes.

Charles Oliveira may have extended his record for the most finishes in UFC history several weeks ago, but it’s his fellow Brazilian that is on a hot streak when it comes to putting opponents away.

Strawweight fighter Jaqueline Amorim, who is currently set to open the card against Mizuki Inoue, has won each of her last four outings without the judges getting involved.

Jaqueline Amorim’s last four opponents Result
Polyana Viana Submission (rear-naked choke) – Round 1
Vanessa Demopoulos Submission (armbar) – Round 1
Cory McKenna Submission (armbar) – Round 1
Montserrat Conejo Ruiz TKO (ground & pound) – Round 3

She’s currently tied with two other fighters on the roster with four consecutive wins via finish.

Bogdan Guskov’s KO against Nikita Krylov continued his remarkable bounce back after suffering a loss on his UFC debut.

The other fighter who is tied with Guskov and Amorim has also produced a turnaround following a loss on his debut, with Sam Patterson recording four consecutive first round finishes since moving up to welterweight.

UFC stats compared for Jaqueline Amorim and Mizuki Inoue

While Jaqueline Amorim has proven herself to be a very effective fight finisher in the smallest UFC weight class, her opponent at UFC 321 has never been stopped.

Mizuki Inoue has gone to a decision in each of her three previous UFC outings, having also gone the distance with the likes of Virna Jandiroba and Alexa Grasso during her time in Invicta FC.

It’s clear to see from their stats that while Inoue is much more active on the feet, Amorim presents a larger threat once the fight hits the floor.

UFC stats Jaqueline Amorim Mizuki Inoue
Significant strikes landed per minute 2.68 4.56
    Significant striking accuracy 53% 50%
Significant strikes absorbed per minute 1.43 5.62
Significant strike defense – % of opponents strikes that didn’t land 64% 48%
Average takedowns landed per 15 minutes 2.22 0.33
    Takedown accuracy 37% 14%
    Takedown defense – % of opponents attempts that didn’t land 0% 85%
Average submissions attempted per 15 minutes 4.8 0.0

Becoming the first person to submit Inoue won’t be easy considering some of the fighters she has come up against and her high takedown defense, but it’s likely the best chance Amorim has of extending her finish streak.
