Another UFC fighter has been removed from the roster.
UFC Vancouver went down last weekend with a 13-fight card headlined by top middleweight contenders Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen.
All but one of the prelim fights were stopped within the distance.
Knockout artist Danny Barlow reached the judges’ scorecards after a hard-fought three-round war against Djorden Santos, losing a controversial unanimous decision.
Little did we know at the time, this would be Barlow’s final UFC appearance.

Danny Barlow removed from UFC roster after losing middleweight debut
On Wednesday, Tom Feely reported that Barlow had been removed from the UFC.com roster, which signifies his promotional release.
Before back-to-back losses at UFC Vancouver, Barlow was a 9-0 welterweight prospect who was signed from Dana White’s Contender Series in Sept. 2023.
Barlow TKO’d Josh Quinlan in his UFC debut at UFC 298 last year and defeated Nikolay Veretennikov by split decision after missing weight.
‘Left Hand 2 God’ suffered his first pro loss in March when Sam Patterson knocked him out in the first round.
Barlow was a sizable favorite to beat Santos in his middleweight debut last weekend, but the longtime welterweight didn’t get the nod from the judges.
Barlow went 2-2 in the UFC overall.
Fair or foul? Fans react to Danny Barlow’s UFC release
Barlow’s time in the UFC wraps up two years after he won his contract on Contender Series.
Coming off a great, competitive fight, some fans are questioning Barlow’s UFC release.
It’s worth noting that one of Barlow’s two losses is to Sam Patterson, who’s currently riding a four-fight finish streak, so it’s not like Barlow lost to just anybody.
“Should’ve been given a longer leash, he’s actually a good fighter,” one fan said of Barlow’s release on Instagram
“UFC never gives good fighters the chance to bounce back or build, that’s why they don’t have superstars rn,” former UFC fighter Landon Quinones wrote on Instagram.
“I remember when they signed him, lot of people had high hopes for him. But after back-to-back losses, it’s evident he has a limited skill set and one-dimensional fight style. But it sucks to see a prospect let go so quickly,” another fan wrote.
