The majority of UFC fans have given Ian Machado Garry as their answer to a pretty pressing question.
This past Saturday, Ian Machado Garry returned to the Octagon when he took on former welterweight champion Belal Muhammad in the UFC Qatar co-main event.
The Irishman went on to score the unanimous decision win, putting him at rank one in a stacked 170lb division which is full of contenders.
Following his win, ‘The Future’ called for a welterweight title shot against the recently crowned champion Islam Makhachev, but he may find himself behind several contenders following another tentative performance.

Ahead of his clash against ‘Remember The Name’ Muhammad, Machado Garry predicted that he was going to score a vicious knockout, and that isn’t the first time he has made such a prediction.
Despite that, the performance that he went on to put on was relatively lackluster, despite the fact that it resulted in a win.
And it is because of that that the majority of fans have given him as the answer to one pressing question that has been asked online.
“Ian Garry, bro. Look how much he talked before the MVP/Shavkat/Belal fights for them all to go to a competitive decision,” one fan commented.

In Machado Garry’s 11 UFC outings, eight of which have gone to the judges scorecards, with all of his last six fights having gone to a decision.
Following his fight against Muhammad, Machado Garry had a bizarre clash with the current middleweight champion, Khamzat Chimaev, after ‘Borz’ shoved the Irishman whilst he was congratulating Arman Tsarukyan for his win.

At this point it is relatively undeniable that the 28-year-old has championship potential, and because of his skills on the microphone, he will always be a contender in the division.
However, because of his last six performances being relatively tentative, he will likely need to do something spectacular in his next fight to secure a title shot, having been potentially leapfrogged by the likes of Michael Morales and Carlos Prates.
