There isn’t much time left before the fantasy football playoffs begin, likely in Week 15 for your league. If you’re still in the hunt for a spot, you may be in need of reinforcements — especially if the injury bug hit again. We had four games prior to Sunday in Week 13 and there are a few options we need to go over, as well as players who showed us enough over the weekend.
Keep in mind we also have four teams on bye in Week 14 — the Giants, 49ers, Patriots and Panthers. Below, we’ll go over some fantasy football waiver wire options as we approach Week 14. Let’s try and hit gold a few more times before the fantasy season is over.

Blake Corum, RB, Rams (16% rostered)
It’s still pretty shocking that Corum isn’t rostered in more leagues. He’s been productive spelling Kyren Williams most of the season, but he has never been given the volume to make him a reliable play in most formats. Well, it might be Corum’s time to shine. Williams briefly exited in the second quarter with an ankle injury but was able to return. Corum took advantage by scoring a touchdown while Williams was out. Corum also broke off a nice 34-yard run, showing some explosiveness on the outside. He would finish the game with seven carries for 81 yards and a score (14.1 fantasy points).
This is just another reminder that players like Corum are one injury away from becoming elite RB plays in fantasy. He should be rostered in more leagues and is a good stash add with or without Kyren on your roster. There’s a chance the Rams clinch a playoff berth before Week 17 and decide to rest some starters. Make sure you’re ahead of the game.

Brenton Strange, TE, Jaguars (32% rostered)
There’s still some games left in Week 13 but Strange has a shot at back-to-back top-five tight end finishes the past two weeks. After returning from IR in Week 12, Strange turned in a 5-93-0 line against the Cardinals for 11.8 fantasy points (TE5). This week, Strange followed things up with a 3-45-1 line for 12 fantasy points against the Titans. Perhaps the matchups had something to do with it, but the Jaguars’ passing game appears to be clicking now that it’s healthy. Strange should be added in all formats if you’re in need of a starting tight end.
Devaughn Vele, WR, Saints (1% rostered)
The Rashid Shaheed trade left a void at receiver behind Chris Olave on the Saints. Vele has gotten the opportunity to step up and entered Week 13 having played at least 87% of the offensive snaps in back-to-back games. The former Broncos wideout finally broke out and made the most of those snaps, hauling in all eight of his targets for 93 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Rookie QB Tyler Shough has strung together three decent performances and we know New Orleans plays with pace and likes to throw the ball. That’s even more prominent while RB Alvin Kamara is sidelined. Vele will have some flex appeal in deeper PPR formats, making him a worthy add.
Adonai Mitchell, WR, Jets (2% rostered)
The talent was never the question for Mitchell coming into the NFL a few years ago as a second-rounder out of Texas — it was the focus and opportunity. Well, he’s getting the opportunity in New York with the Jets and is showing that elite upside we saw while with the Colts.

Mitchell had the best game of his career, catching eight of 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown for 22.2 fantasy points against the Falcons in Week 13. He’s still operating in a weak Jets’ pass game but New York figures to be playing from behind often the rest of the season and Tyrod Taylor can do enough to get the ball to Mitchell in space. The schedule isn’t bad (MIA, @ JAX, @ NO, NE) the next four weeks and Mitchell should get plenty of snaps. He’s worth adding in deeper leagues and should be a boom-bust flex option in PPR formats.
Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Lions (1% rostered on Yahoo)
The Lions fell to the Packers on Thanksgiving and lost top wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown to a low-ankle sprain. St. Brown is expected to miss some time, likely a game or two. With Kalif Raymond also sidelined, TeSlaa saw 92% of the offensive snaps (58) and ran a route on 30 of those snaps. He hauled in both of his targets for 35 yards, which is a modest number, but the usage was there. The Lions have a great matchup with the Cowboys in Week 14, so even if St. Brown gets back quickly, TeSlaa has some streaming value for the game. Tom Kennedy (0% rostered) is also worth considering as a deep-league add with streamer value. He had four catches for 36 yards vs. Green Bay.
