Floyd Mayweather is expected to make his eagerly anticipated return to the ring in 2026.

The 50-0 legend officially retired from professional boxing after knocking out UFC superstar Conor McGregor in August 2017.

Since then, Floyd Mayweather has had eight exhibition bouts against low-level opponents such as Logan Paul, Deji, and Aaron Chalmers.

‘Money’ hasn’t fought since going eight rounds with John Gotti III in a non-scored bout in August 2024.

Now, the 48-year-old has received an offer to run it back with an old rival he dominated for 36 minutes.

Andre Berto wants to rematch Floyd Mayweather in a different sport

Floyd Mayweather easily outpointed Andre Berto over 12 rounds in the penultimate fight of his professional career.

One of the judges scored every round for Mayweather when he fought the former two-time welterweight champion in August 2015.

A decade later, Berto thinks he could give a much better account of himself if they were to rematch in a different sport.

The 42-year-old believes he’d emerge victorious if he fought Mayweather in bare-knuckle or Dirty Boxing.

“Either one of them,” Berto said when asked which of the two sports he’d prefer for the potential rematch.

“I’ve got a little bit more to me. Floyd likes to run around, try to box, and look all…

“I wanna be able to grab his s— and hit him with some other s—.

“So, either one, to be honest. With him, he’s just so comfortable in the boxing ring.

Floyd, he talks a lot, but I know you for real. I’ve known Floyd since I was 16, and I know you’re really not like that.

“If we’re in a bar somewhere, I know you’re not like that for real. When it comes to that boxing ring, you’ve got all that safety around you, and all you have to do is look slick to get away with it.

“That’s a whole different situation, bro.

    Floyd Mayweather’s next fight

Floyd Mayweather has signed a deal to fight heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson in 2026.

The exhibition mismatch was announced in September, but since then, things have gone quiet.

Right now, there’s no official date or location for Mayweather’s boxing bout with Mike Tyson.

That could be because ‘The Best Ever’ is discussing an even bigger fight with Manny Pacquiao.

Together, the boxing legends sold 4.4 million pay-per-views and generated $410 million in revenue when they headlined the highest-grossing PPV of all time in May 2015.

10 years later, a Netflix rematch of the biggest boxing bout of all time is being ‘seriously discussed.’

Only time will tell whether Mayweather will face Tyson, Pacquiao, Berto, or someone else in his next fight.

There’s only one thing that seems certain: Mayweather will return to the ring at some point in 2026.
