UFC icon Joe Rogan is attempting to get Gable Steveson signed to the promotion following his recent viral win.
This past September, Olympic gold medalist freestyle wrestler Gable Steveson made his highly anticipated MMA debut at LFA 217, scoring a first round knockout win.
For several years now, Steveson has been training with the consensus greatest fighter of all time, Jon Jones, and has been a part of his training camp for several fights.
And just a few weeks ago, the 25-year-old made just his second MMA appearance when he competed at Anthony Pettis FC 21, scoring a viral 25-second KO.

Joe Rogan sent text message to Dana White to sign Gable Steveson
With Steveson’s knockout having gone viral amongst the combat sports world, even UFC icon Joe Rogan caught wind of it and was astonished by it.
So much so, that Rogan revealed he immediately sent Dana White a text message, imploring him to sign Steveson to the UFC.
“The heavyweight division is so devoid of talent,” Rogan said in a recent episode of his podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience.
“Gable Steveson is the f—— guy, that’s the guy. He’s not even in the UFC yet. Olympic gold medalist, f—— freak athlete, 250lbs, moves like a cat, that’s the guy.
“I sent a text message to Dana White, I sent him a video of Gable Steveson’s last fight, I said, ‘Everyone’s f—–, everyone’s f—– when this guy comes out’, he KO’d this guy with a left hand, and then took him down as he was knocked out.
“It’s so f—— crazy the speed this guy has, first of all, really good striking already and he’s only been striking for a year… Dude, everyone’s f—–. That kind of speed is nuts for a heavyweight,” Rogan continued.

Fortunately for ‘Bones’ by the time Steveson does make it to the UFC, he will likely be long-retired, despite talking about making his return in 2026 for potentially one last fight.
