Paddy Pimblett disagrees with people who think Arman Tsarukyan has been snubbed.

Tsarukyan is keeping himself busy with grappling matches despite being ranked as the top contender in the lightweight division.

With an interim lightweight title fight set to take place next month, the 29-year-old could be waiting a long time before he gets a shot at the belt.

Tsarukyan has said that he’ll be ready to go on January 24 in case either of the men involved in the main event of UFC 324 can’t compete on that date.

Paddy Pimblett unsurprisingly feels no sympathy for his fellow contender as he prepares for his first UFC title fight.

Was Arman Tsarukyan’s reaction to Paddy Pimblett’s UFC 324 title shot valid?

The Armenian star was ignored despite being the No. 1 contender, making weight as the UFC 317 backup, and submitting Dan Hooker for his fifth straight win.

Paddy Pimblett says Arman Tsarukyan only has himself to blame for missed opportunities

Paddy Pimblett has criticized Arman Tsarukyan following the reaction from fans to him not being involved in the interim lightweight title fight.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, ‘The Baddy’ made a lot of the same points that he has stated in the past.

He seemingly takes the same stance as Dana White in that Tsarukyan still has work to do to put himself back in the mix following several issues.

Tsarukyan’s withdrawal from UFC 311 in January, among other instances like when he was suspended for hitting a fan, are why Pimblett believes that he only has himself to blame for missing out on opportunities.

The Brit went as far as to say that his rival is “lucky” that the promotion haven’t cut ties with him entirely after everything that’s happened.

“Don’t be a spoiled little brat and you might end up getting in good graces,” Pimblett said. “It’s his own fault lad. It’s his own family’s fault for letting him be a spoiled little baby his whole life.

“He’s lucky he still hasn’t been cut, never mind he’s not fighting for the belt. He’s lucky to still be on the roster.”

Paddy Pimblett believes he’ll retire Justin Gaethje at UFC 324

Paddy Pimblett laughed when talking about Arman Tsarukyan being frozen out of big fights due to the other top lightweight contenders all being booked in big matchups.

‘The Baddy’ also believes that there will be one less name in the mix for good following his interim title fight at UFC 324.

His opponent, Justin Gaethje, said he would retire if he didn’t get an opportunity to fight for the belt in his next outing.

Pimblett told Sky Sports that he believes this will be Gaethje’s final fight because he won’t be able to get back to the belt after a loss.

“I feel bad saying it and I’ve said it already but I think I’m gonna retire him.”
