Christmas came early in locker rooms across the NFL and NBA this year, and the holiday spirit hit with the volume turned all the way up. From PlayStation consoles to e-bikes and custom golf carts, star athletes made sure their teammates were truly having a Holly Jolly Christmas.
If the Chiefs’ season didn’t end the way they hoped, Patrick Mahomes still made sure Christmas morning felt like a win. While sidelined as he continues to recover from ACL surgery, the quarterback played Santa in a big way.

According to multiple Instagram stories from Chiefs players, Mahomes gifted teammates PlayStation 5 consoles, each with a protective, portable case. If all the Chiefs wanted for Christmas was a little joy after their 10-season postseason streak came to an end, Mahomes delivered.
The half-billion-dollar QB is no stranger to giving back. In past years, Mahomes has surprised his offensive line with luxury gifts. This year, the guys who keep him upright received Hublot watches, Oakley Meta glasses, Beats Studio Pro headphones, Rimowa luggage carriers, and Aventon e-bikes.
The love poured in quickly across social media. Tight end Jared Wiley and wide receiver Jalen Royals were among the first to publicly thank their quarterback. Brashard Smith chimed in next with a “Preciate you goat,” while Xavier Worthy shared his appreciation with an “Appreciate it.” Hollywood Brown closed it out by calling Mahomes “the goat” and adding “appreciate you.”
A PS5 with a protective case can run around $600, while Aventon e-bikes range from roughly $999 to more than $2,800. Mahomes may be sidelined, and Kansas City may have missed the playoffs for the first time in over a decade, but his generosity ensured the locker room still felt like Christmas morning.
“Santa Luka” checked the list twice in L.A.
The Christmas spirit wasn’t limited to the NFL. In the NBA, Luka Dončić brought the holiday magic straight to the Lakers’ practice floor, turning an ordinary workout into a December to remember.
After practice wrapped up, Dončić surprised players and staff with more than 100 electric bikes, spreading cheer throughout the entire organization. Head coach JJ Redick set the scene by telling the team Luka had “something for us,” which briefly led at least one player to wonder if a Bugatti was coming. Instead, it was e-bikes — and the reactions said it all. “This is insane,” Deandre Ayton said. “I’m glad I got this bike.” “This is awesome,” Marcus Smart added. “If I had this bike when I was a kid, I’d be one happy kid.”
Jake LaRavia and Jaxson Hayes took to Instagram to say thanks, while Luka explained the thought behind the gesture: “I just want to give everybody something, you know. Everybody works hard, even the people you don’t see in the back, so I want to do something for them too.” There were laughs too.“I saw Jackson ride it and that was scary,” Dončić said. “… He needs a helmet. Everybody needs a helmet.
Dončić, who’s been with the Lakers for less than a year after his shocking February trade from Dallas, gifted the Pedal All-Wheel Drive S model, priced at $3,350. In Los Angeles, the Lakers were definitely Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree — just on two wheels.
Kyrie knows who’s been nice in Dallas
And speaking of the Mavericks… Kyrie Irving made sure his teammates felt “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Irving surprised the Dallas locker room by gifting custom Denago electric golf carts, each personalized with the player’s name, number and team logo.
In a team video, players like Cooper Flagg and Klay Thompson were seen taking the carts for a spin, with Kyrie letting them know the rides would be shipped straight to their homes. Cooper Flagg summed up the moment perfectly: “It’s a beautiful day in Dallas, y’all. What’s up? Kyrie just got us a gift. You know, it’s a blessing to be here.”
Denago golf carts generally range from about $8,500 to over $15,000, depending on features. Irving, who has yet to suit up this season while recovering from a torn ACL, still found a way to leave his mark — and spread holiday joy — without stepping on the floor.
