MANCHESTER UNITED defender Ayden Heaven will not switch allegiance from England to Ghana to improve his chances of featuring at next year’s World Cup.
The London-born centre-back, 19, qualifies for the African nation through a grandparent.
But BBC Sport report that Heaven wants to represent England at senior level despite the Ghana FA monitoring his development.
He has made seven Premier League appearances for United this season, starting each of their last five showdowns.
And Heaven has featured for England at various age groups, including the Under-20s.
But the wonderkid is still waiting to break into senior boss Thomas Tuchel’s plans as the final preparations are made for the World Cup.

England have been drawn in the same group as Ghana, along with Croatia and Panama.
The teenager is only interested in boarding a flight to the tournament with the Three Lions.
Heaven was praised by United chief Ruben Amorim after shining in the narrow win over Newcastle on Boxing Day.
In his post-match press conference, the Portuguese tactician said: “I am really pleased with Ayden. You can feel that he is improving every game.

“He is young, but you can feel that he has a good game, slows the thinking and improves during the game.
“He trained really well and, if he continues to play like that, it is going to be really hard to take his place.”
Ghana have been keeping tabs on Heaven’s performances ahead of potentially attempting to convince him to pledge his international future to them instead of England.
But they have lost the tug of war because he is determined to prove his worth to Tuchel ahead of the World Cup.
Heaven became United’s first signing after Amorim’s appointment as head coach, with the Red Devils paying a substantial compensation fee to lure him away from Arsenal earlier this year.
