Max Holloway wants to create another BMF moment when he returns in March.

The former UFC featherweight champion has already put together a stellar highlight reel with his performances inside the Octagon.

It says a lot that Holloway’s favorite win isn’t his jaw-dropping knockout of Justin Gaethje at UFC 300.

‘Blessed’ is now lined up to defend the title that he won on the night for the second time in the main event of UFC 326 on March 7.

Holloway’s rematch with Charles Oliveira presents him with an opportunity to do something that no one will predict ahead of time.

Max Holloway says it would be a ‘BMF thing to do’ if he submitted Charles Oliveira at UFC 326

Charles Oliveira’s loss to Max Holloway in 2015 resulted in some questioning whether he quit in the fight due to the bout ending due to an injury.

While ‘Do Bronx’ has proven on plenty of occasions that he’s not easy to break, his next opponent will certainly put that to the test on March 7.

Oliveira’s preparations for UFC 326 led to some concerned reactions due to him seemingly preparing to engage in Holloway’s famous point-down that has become a staple of his BMF title fights.

‘Blessed’ recently revealed that he has his own target that his team would likely urge him to abandon altogether in this particular matchup.

“I go out there, I do what I do. My coaches [are] probably going to kill me when they say this and hear me saying [it], a BMF thing to do in this fight would be to submit a submission artist,” Holloway said in a video on his YouTube channel. “A guy who’s known for submissions, that’d be pretty BMF.

“At the end of the day, never say never. If your boy throws up some submissions here and there and I get one, who’s to say what happens? That’s a pretty BMF moment.”

Max Holloway believes another BMF moment will get him closer to the lightweight title

Max Holloway’s star status and reliability when it comes to putting on exciting fights means that he’s never too far away from being in the title picture.

Submitting the man with the most submission wins in UFC history would certainly be a statement that would send shockwaves across the lightweight landscape.

With Holloway still focused on working towards his first shot at the undisputed 155-pound gold, he said during the video on his YouTube channel that another BMF moment will help his case.

“A very worthy opponent,” he said about Oliveira. “He was the last one to fight for a title. He was an undisputed titleholder at one point. With a win over Dustin [Poirier], with a win over him, if I can go out there and do a BMF moment again and get my hand raised, maybe we get one step closer to the undisputed title.”
