However, my USA vs. Denmark predictions expect the favorites to face more resistance from the Danes and fall short of covering a lofty spread.

Denmark dropped their opener against Germany, but there were many positives. Against a team featuring stars like Leon Draisaitl, Tim Stutzle, and Moritz Seider, the Danes were only out-scored 2-1 at even-strength.
Denmark quietly carried play throughout, outshooting the Germans 38-26. If not for excellent goaltending from Philipp Grubauer, Denmark would’ve threatened to pull off the upset.
Team USA is a big step up in competition, but Latvia, which ranks below Denmark in the IIHF rankings, kept it within four. Expect a more talented Danish side to do the same.
