Jake Paul and Francis Ngannou aren’t pretending to be friends now that they’re aligned.
Ngannou will be a part of Most Valuable Promotions’ debut MMA event on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
‘The Predator’ will be facing Philipe Lins in a five-round co-main event following the news that came out last week that he’d parted ways with the PFL.
As a result, Ngannou is now signed with Paul’s promotion, which was always going to lead to some interesting interactions between them.

Jake Paul accuses Francis Ngannou of running from him at Most Valuable Promotions’ press conference
It was only late last year that Jake Paul made scathing comments about Francis Ngannou due to the former UFC heavyweight champion turning down a boxing match with him.
While a video did show a handshake between them backstage, this tension became a part of the press conference for MVP’s event on May 16.
The final question saw the microphone get handed to Paul, who started his comments by declaring that he wants to fight the winner of the co-main event.
“Yeah, I mean, I’m down,” Paul added when asked about fighting Ngannou. “I’ve always been down. You were the option before Anthony Joshua and you ran like a duck and I bet that you didn’t think I’d last longer than you did with Anthony either so you just know that you’d get worked in boxing and I would love to see it someday.”
‘The Predator’ has previously dismissed some of the controversial boxer’s comments as him simply trying to get at people.
However, in his response at the press conference on Tuesday, Ngannou said that Paul has made him change his mind about the idea of them facing off.
“I really didn’t want to fight you, but now I want to beat you. So, there’s a difference.”
