The oft-controversial Dillon Danis and former UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal’s feud is intensifying after leaked DMs surfaced Monday.
Dillon Danis will make his Real American Freestyle debut against Colby Covington next weekend, and Danis has a brewing feud with one of Covington’s former rivals.
Danis, who returned to professional MMA last year with a 15-second win over Warren Spencer, is looking for big fights as he reignites his combat sports career. After a successful MMA return in Misfits, Danis could be in line for marquee matchups in 2026.
Danis is regarded as one of MMA’s most colorful personalities, due to his voluminous presence on social media and polarization amongst MMA fans. He’s made many enemies in combat sports, including Nate Diaz and Jake Paul.
But Danis’ ongoing feud with the UFC’s inaugural BMF champion, Jorge Masvidal, might have the highest tensions.

“Take the fight [Jorge],” Danis wrote in the caption.
Masvidal retired from MMA following a loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. He briefly teased a return to MMA on the UFC’s White House card later this summer, but was left out of the mix.
Masvidal returned to fighting in a boxing match with Diaz in 2024, losing by majority decision. He could potentially return to boxing in the coming months, especially if Danis is a willing adversary.
As of this writing, Masvidal hasn’t responded to Danis’ online callouts.
If Masvidal and Danis cross paths in-person, expect things to potentially get chaotic. Just weeks after his fight with Covington, Masvidal confronted Covington outside of a Miami-area restaurant, leaving Covington with numerous facial injuries.
As the bad blood continues to boil between Danis and Masvidal, it could be a matter of time until a fight, sanctioned or otherwise, comes to fruition.
