McKinney (18-8 MMA) will enter the contest looking to rebound, this after suffering a submission loss to Chris Duncan in his most recent Octagon appearance this past December at UFC 323 (see that here). Prior to that setback, ‘T Wrecks’ was coming off back-to-back stoppage wins over Viacheslav Borshchev and Damir Hadzovic respectively.
Meanwhile, Kyle Nelson (17-7-1 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since scoring a unanimous decision win over Matt Frevola this past October at UFC Vancouver. ‘The Monster’ has gone 4-1 over his past five fights overall, with his lone loss in that stretch coming against Steve Garcia by way of TKO.
