UFC star Jiri Prochazka has spoken about learning a lesson from his shocking defeat to Carlos Ulberg at UFC 327 last night.
In the main event of UFC 327, Carlos Ulberg became the new UFC light heavyweight champion with a stunning knockout over Jiri Prochazka. It seemed as if the fight was there to be won for Jiri after Carlos appeared to sustain a knee injury, and yet, it didn’t quite work out that way with the Czech sensation opting to show Ulberg mercy.

It was a truly crazy sequence and, as you can probably imagine, many have been critical of Prochazka’s decision to leave himself so open and vulnerable to a counter shot from Ulberg.
In a recent post on his Instagram story, Prochazka had the following to say about how everything played out in Miami.
Prochazka responds to big defeat
“Thank you all for your support. Just checking the jaw here in the hospital. Big apologies for my performance tonight. I still can’t understand this, my stupid mercy in the fight. That cost me this fight, so. I would like to fight a rematch, because, man, that was my fight. That was my fight and I just gave him this opportunity to catch me. Big apologies tomorrow everyone who supports me.”
Prochazka will continue to have a large fanbase from every corner of the mixed martial arts world, but this is definitely one of the more embarrassing title losses in recent memory. Hopefully, for his sake, this isn’t a sign of larger problems with his chin and ability to absorb damage in his career.
