Azzedine Ounahi (26) enjoyed a breakthrough during the 2022 World Cup. He starred as Morocco reached the semi-finals of the competition and subsequently earned a switch from SCO Angers to Olympique de Marseille. He struggled at the Vélodrome, and a loan spell at Panathinaikos failed to get his career back on track.
However, he has consistently impressed for Girona this season and is now being linked with a move to Manchester City. The Morocco international joined Girona at the start of the season. He has played 19 games for the Spanish side but could already be on the move.

Ounahi has a €20m release clause, and Foot Mercato understands that Girona want to sell him to Manchester City, just as they managed to do with Savinho back in the summer of 2024. Both clubs are part of the City Group. It is therefore Girona, who are looking to raise funds this summer, who have offered the player to the Premier League giants.
