As the Toronto Tempo chase consecutive home wins, look for Marina Mabrey to continue her hot shooting at Coca Cola Coliseum.

The Toronto Tempo made a big-time backcourt investment for their first WNBA season, and their guard play should be the difference today against the visiting Chicago Sky.
Marina Mabrey and Brittney Sykes have lived up to the hype through the first month of action, and my Sky vs. Tempo predictions call for another dynamic outing for Mabrey against one of her former teams.

Sky vs Tempo prediction
Sky vs Tempo best bet: Marina Mabrey Over 18.5 points (-115)
Marina Mabrey already looks comfortable at Coca Cola Coliseum, averaging 22.5 ppg in four outings on the Toronto Tempo’s home floor, and that spells trouble for the Chicago Sky today.
We’ve seen this movie before. Mabrey lit up the Sky for 24 points last month, and Chicago will rue the absence of key perimeter defenders, including DiJonai Carrington.
As always with Mabrey, the 3-ball will be the key, but the volume is hard to resist — 7+ attempts from downtown in five of her last six contests — so I’m jumping on the Over and would bet it up to 20.5.

Sky vs Tempo same-game parlay
Watch for the Tempo to lean even more heavily on Mabrey this afternoon, with fellow guard Kiki Rice ruled out with an ankle issue, and that opens up a clear path to 20+ points.
Only the Atlanta Dream’s Rhyne Howard is averaging more shots from downtown this season than Mabrey’s 8.2 3PA per game, and she’s finished with 3+ made triples in each of her four home outings. Kamilla Cardoso’s presence in the paint could also nudge Toronto towards more attempts from beyond the arc.
This also feels like a great spot for the Tempo to move above .500, with the Sky winning just one of their last six games — and failing to cover the spread in any of them. Toronto has the healthier roster and a major edge in playmaking.
