Mory Kromah speaks highly of Ciryl Gane after training with him ahead of the White House card.
Alex Pereira has put on significant weight to make his heavyweight debut on June 14 in an interim title fight.
While there are question marks surrounding how he will fare in this division, his striking skills make him an incredibly dangerous opponent.
Gane might be preparing to test Pereira’s entire MMA skill set, but one of the elite kickboxers he brought into his training camp believes that ‘Bon Gamin’ won’t be outmatched in a striking battle.

Mory Kromah highlights Ciryl Gane’s ‘crazy’ movement when reflecting on their training sessions
In March, Ciryl Gane was seen training with Mory Kromah, the current GLORY heavyweight champion who will be defending his belt on June 13.
Ahead of his rematch with MiloÅ¡ Cvjetićanin at GLORY Collision 9, Kromah told Bloody Elbow that ‘Bon Gamin’ subverted his expectations when they joined up, which he expects Alex Pereira to also experience.
“It really surprised me because I know I have a different kind of skills,” the kickboxing champion said. “The way Ciryl Gane moves is very crazy. I was surprised by his movement. His movement, his power, the kicks. He’s so flexible in his punching.”

Pereira put together an incredible run in GLORY before committing to MMA, becoming the promotion’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion in 2021.
Gane may not have the same level of striking pedigree, but Kromah believes that he could if he’d chosen to explore a career in kickboxing.
“100%, he would be standing here as a champion,” Kromah theorized. “Yeah, he could be the champion. For real. It would be nice [to see] like Ciryl Gane vs Rico Verhoeven back in the time. That would be a great fight. So if you can imagine that fight, he could be a champion in GLORY.”
Gane might not have an extensive striking background, but the footage of him competing in Muay Thai before he arrived in the UFC shows that he’s been a very confident and capable stand-up fighter for some time.
