MMA legend Conor McGregor has candidly opened up on one of the all-important “lessons” that he has learned in life ahead of his hotly anticipated UFC comeback.
Conor McGregor has been out of action from the MMA octagon since the Irish superstar suffered back-to-back losses to Dustin Poirier back in 2021.
Dustin Poirier defeated McGregor in a second-round upset at UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi before the ‘Diamond’ picked up a first-round win at UFC 264 in Las Vegas.
McGregor’s third fight with the 37-year-old former MMA star ended after the future UFC Hall of Famer suffered a horrific — and shocking — leg break.

Conor McGregor explains both the pros and cons of his ‘fame’ ahead of his UFC 329 headline fight
Conor McGregor will now step back into the octagon for the first time in five years for his rematch with Max Holloway at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion will headline the UFC 329 card on 11th July, with McGregor set to meet Max Holloway at welterweight.
Speaking ahead of UFC 329, McGregor reflected on the turbulence of his career in combat sports and the ‘Notorious’ admitted his “fame” has been a setback at times.
“Fame has its pitfalls,” he told UFC on Paramount+.
“You[’d] better move carefully in this world, for sure, probably even more so now. I’ve taken a lot of lessons in my life, and it’s just about self-discovery.
“Studying yourself, learning yourself, learning triggers. I find myself even now still in a fight with an old version of me or old ways that don’t serve me.”

Conor McGregor sends a clear-cut message to UFC fans about the ‘person’ that he is right now
McGregor has only won once in his last four MMA fights after suffering two defeats to Dustin Poirier and a loss to UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov since 2018.
The former UFC dual champ’s last win inside the octagon came during his climb to welterweight again, as McGregor defeated Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in 2020.
Irish MMA superstar McGregor has insisted that the person who is now returning to the world of combat sports is not the same one who rose to stardom in it before.
“I’m different now,” he said, before adding: “I’m a different person.”
Conor McGregor and Max Holloway’s non-title welterweight fight is scheduled for five rounds at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 11th July.
