Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson will fight later this year in America, according to new legal filings.
Last month, legendary multiple-weight boxing world champion Mayweather was due to take on Mike Zambidis in the first of three matches he had agreed to take part in over the next year. He was also due to face Tyson earlier in the year, with the bout apparently taking place in Africa.
The whole comeback was set to culminate in a return to professional boxing against Manny Pacquiao in September. However, that has all fallen by the wayside and after an injunction was filed the Zambidis bout was called off.

Floyd Mayweather vs Mike Tyson fight date allegedly locked in
CSI Sports, the company that initially signed up Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson to compete last year, have yet to deliver the super-fight.
However, according to a letter from their attorney Judd Burstein filed to the judge Vernon S. Broderick in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York, they claim to have a date and venue ready to go for the duo to fight.
And it’s good news for American fans, with the letter claiming American Airlines Center in Dallas could host the bout on September 26, providing they are granted the August hearing dates for which they are asking.
“As the proof will show, Plaintiffs intend to go forward with the ‘Tyson Fight’ on September 26, 2026 if Mr. Mayweather agrees to participate in that Fight,” the letter reads.
“To that end, (a) CSI has the American Airlines Center in Dallas ‘on hold,’ (b) Mike Tyson (‘Tyson’) is willing and able to fight on that date, and (c) CSI will either (i) secure any required promoter’s license, or (ii) retain a licensed promoter to promote the Fight.”
