With the Indiana Fever firing on all cylinders offensively, our expert expects them to cover on what will be a long night for the Portland Fire as they try to shut down Caitlin Clark and company.
Indiana -8.5 (-105)

The Indiana Fever will look to extend their four-game winning streak as they visit the Portland Fire on Friday night.
Indiana’s offense is on fire and will overwhelm Portland, which is why I’m taking the visitors to cover in my Fever vs. Fire predictions.

Fever vs Fire prediction
Fever vs Fire best bet: -8.5 (-105)
The Indiana Fever are absolutely obliterating opponents on the offensive end of the court. They’re the highest-scoring team in the league at 95.8 ppg, rank second in effective field goal percentage (55.5%), and lead in points per scoring attempt (1.21).
The Portland Fire aren’t about to slow the Fever down. Portland allows 90.9 ppg and ranks second-worst in the league in points allowed off turnovers (18.1 ppg) and off second-chance opportunities (14.1 ppg).
The Fever will score at will tonight, and I like them to cover at anything up to -10.

Fever vs Fire same-game parlay
Not only are the Fever one of the most efficient offenses in the WNBA, but they also play at a blistering pace. Indiana has averaged an incredible 111.5 ppg over its last four games, but has also allowed at least 88 points in each of those contests.
With Portland also having hit the Over in five of its last six contests, I love the Over tonight.
I’m also backing Aliyah Boston to grab Over 8.5 rebounds tonight. The Fire have the league’s worst rebounding rate at 46.5%, and have no clear answers in the paint for the 6-foot-5 Boston.
After playing very little on Tuesday, I’m expecting a rested Boston to have a big game tonight.
Fever vs Fire SGP
- Fever -8.5
- Over 187.5
- Aliyah Boston Over 8.5 rebounds

Fever vs Fire player prop pick
Caitlin Clark Over 9.5 assists (+110)
I wouldn’t advise anyone to bet against Caitlin Clark right now. She’s playing some of the best offensive basketball of her career, and that includes going for double-digit assists in two of her last four games, along with averaging 30.3 ppg in that span.
But what has me targeting Clark’s assists total tonight is the Portland defense, which does little to disrupt opposing offenses. Opponents get 23.4 assists per game and have a 73.3% assisted shot rate against Portland, both the highest figures in the WNBA this season. I’m taking Clark to get 10+ assists again tonight.
