The 34-year-old outfielder has recorded 186 hits, a .254 batting average and .363 OBP in 863 plate appearances against righties since 2023. Conversely, Elder has ceded 50 hits, a .263 batting average, .348 OBP, .447 SLG and .343 wOBA to 221 lefties this season.
Freddie Freeman (1B – LAD): 11.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
Freeman is in outstanding form. In his previous 111 plate appearances, he’s amassed 21 singles, five doubles, zero triples, five homers, 13 runs, 20 RBIs, a .323 batting average, .396 OBP, .208 ISO, .397 wOBA and 158 wRC+. Freeman has also had Gomber’s number. According to Baseball Savant, Freeman has recorded three singles, one double, zero triples, two homers, one walk, zero strikeouts, a .513 wOBA and .592 xwOBA in 17 career plate appearances against Gomber. Additionally, Gomber has served up a .434 wOBA to 52 lefties this season.
Teoscar Hernandez (OF – LAD): 10.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
Gomber has yielded a .385 wOBA to 200 right-handed batters this year. Meanwhile, Hernandez is a lefty killer. Hernandez is also having a decent season at the dish, hitting 20 homers with 48 runs, 74 RBIs, five stolen bases, a .284 OBP, .213 ISO, .319 wOBA, .334 xwOBA and 104 wRC+ in 413 plate appearances.
