Noche UFC happens the same night as Canelo vs. Crawford
The UFC won’t be going head-to-head with Canelo vs. Crawford in Las Vegas, as Dana White is promoting the boxing event under the TKO Group banner.
However, that doesn’t mean there’s not a UFC event next weekend.
Noche UFC takes place on the same day, Sept. 13, in San Antonio, Texas, at an earlier time.
The annual event, which commemorates Mexican Independence Day and the Mexican fighting spirit, was supposed to take place in Guadalajara but was ultimately moved to San Antonio, the home of the Alamo – a Spanish Mission where Mexicans and Texians [Texas settlers] battled it out in 1836.
This year’s Noche UFC is headlined by Brazilian featherweight contenders Diego Lopes and Jean Silva.
