Ben Askren has wowed fans by showing he’s still got the wrestling skills that made him famous.

Earlier this year, the former two-promotion MMA champion was hospitalized due to a severe case of pneumonia brought on by a staph infection.

Ben Askren technically ‘died four times’ while in a 45-day coma, which ended after he underwent a life-saving double lung transplant in June.

Just a few months later, ‘Funky’ is making great strides in recovery and documenting the process on social media.

    Watch Ben Askren wrestle again

On Sunday, Ben Askren shared a video of himself drilling a wrestling technique on social media.

“Almost died…. Won’t ever forget how to hit an arm drag,” he captioned his post on X

Impressed fans took to the comment section to express their shock at how well the 41-year-old has bounced back from his near-death experience.

“So glad to see you doing better,” one fan said. While another added: “Oh, he’ll be back to normal in no time lol.”

“You are an inspiration, Ben,” someone else said.

“Bro is Wolverine, just slower healing factor,” another X user joked.

“Considering obituaries seemed imminent for Ben back in June, this is remarkable,” someone on Reddit wrote.

“That’s insane recovery. Good to see,” a sixth fan commented.

Ben Askren reacts to mass support

The MMA and wrestling communities rallied around Ben Askren during the toughest fight of his life.

Even his old rivals, Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal, showed some love to their former opponent.

“Man, I got only positive messages,” Askren said in July.

“Like Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul both messaged me.

“I was like, ‘Where the hell’s that come from?’

“The support was insanely broad across the board.”
