ROY KEANE and Manchester United midfield partner Nicky Butt once HANG GLIDED over the top of manager Sir Alex Ferguson – and were caught.
Speaking on The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast with Paddy McGuiness, Butt went in detail about a trip in Brazil that almost landed himself and Keane in big trouble with Fergie.

Joined by Paul Scholes, who could only sit back and laugh at a story he found incredibly funny – and had clearly heard before – Butt reeled off a blow-by-blow account.
He said: “We had a seven day holiday in Copacabana, it was unbelievable and I did hang gliding.
“Me and Keaney did hang gliding off Sugarloaf Mountain.
“We’re like ‘so what shall we do?’ We go, ‘right, let’s go and do this.’

“We get to this little shack and this little lad comes running out and he was one of the instructors.
“I’m going: ‘I’m not going with him. No f***ing way am I going with him.’
“We link the arms and you jump off Sugarloaf Mountain like that and you’re hang-gliding down and we see out hotel, [it’s a] true story this, isn’t it?”
At this point, Scholes drops in, confirming that Butts story and adding: “It’s f***ing brilliant.”

Butt continues: “We’re over the hotel and a pool and we’re going, ‘Hey! Lads! Lads! Lads!’
“The manager is laying sunbathing and going like this [takes off imaginary glasses.”
Scholes again adds: “The gaffer is there.”
Butt goes on: “He [Ferguson] turns to Ned Kelly, who was the security guy at the time, this is a story we got off the lads because we were obviously up in the air: ‘That better not be one of my f***ing players.’
“I think the lads have just gone, ‘No, no, it’s just some supporters that we’ve seen.’
“We land on Copacabana. We get back and we think, ‘Right, we’ve got away with it,’ me and Keaney.
“We get in the lift, the doors open. The manager’s stood there looking at us and he’s going, ‘That better not have been f***ing you two up there.’
“I went: ‘What? No. It weren’t us.’
“To this day, he knew it was us but we just completely denied it.”
