‘Mighty Mouse’ loves a good bar scrap.
Below the mainstream promotions and stars in MMA, a new wave is seeing a number of interesting personalities looking to rise to prominence on the street fighter scene.
Death Sentence is among the most notable, having gone viral for his Streetbeefs exploits. The spotlight has been put on him by the UFC’s flyweight GOAT, with Demetrious Johnson helping to train Death Sentence and documenting their work together on his YouTube channel.
But he is not the only backyard brawler whom ‘Mighty Mouse’ has come across. He’s also put some work in with Winged C, real name Malcolm Schuyler, who recently had his latest fight in quite the setting.

Demetrious Johnson watches on as street fighter Winged C survives brutal knockdown in latest win
Winged C, who is credited with a 6-1 amateur MMA record by Tapology, recently returned to action in a bar fight against Alex Niemietz at the Texas Street Fighting Championship.
Demetrious Johnson reacted to the bout in a YouTube video, analyzing what one of his street-fighting protégés did right and wrong in the fight, which Winged C won via standing TKO in round two.
The 24-year-old had to overcome some adversity after being dropped by a right hand early on.
“The more I watch Winged C, this is his style,” Johnson said after seeing the knockdown.
“He’ll come in, throw a two-punch combination, back out with his hands down. If you can shield and then once he backs out, try to catch his chin like this guy did, you can beat him.”
The UFC legend went on to express concern at the rate at which Winged C is being knocked down so early in his fighting career, and he acknowledged his own role in that.
“The unfortunate thing, the more he gets dropped, the more it’s gonna be easier for him to get dropped.
“It’s almost reminding his body of the trauma that he suffered from me kicking him in the head, Asian Sensation kicking him in the head, this guy dropping him.
“His body is gonna remember, ‘I am suffering trauma, I need to go down.’ It’s not a good thing that he’s so young in his career and he’s already getting dropped.”
Winged C ultimately recovered well to have his hand raised and win a Texas Street Fighting Championship title in the process.
“He did good, he did really good,” Johnson said. “The biggest thing is him finding his rhythm.
“Winged C becomes another champion in Texas!”

Demetrious Johnson explained why he dropped Winged C with a head kick
Johnson’s reaction included reference to his time sparring Winged C, which concluded with the UFC legend letting one brutal shot loose.
After being taunted by the cocky street fighter for much of the session, Johnson dropped Winged C with a head kick. In his YouTube video showing the spar, ‘Mighty Mouse’ explained why he threw the vicious shot.
“When you spar somebody, you have to have some form of respect,” Johnson said. “You go out there, you touch gloves, and you move around.
“He wanted me to hurt him, essentially. I’m not about that life anymore.
“He kept saying, ‘Good boy!’ Does he realize I’m f—ing 38 years old and I’ve done this for 20 f—ing years?
“I’m not going to lie, I was about to go to a little f—ing dark place,” he added.
