SERGIO RAMOS is one of the best players of his generation and fans in Spain thought they had seen him again on Tuesday night.
That was when third tier Guadalajara hosted Barcelona in a Copa Del Rey round of 32 tie.

A picture went viral on X that got over 1 million views.
But the admin had to point out: “This is not Sergio Ramos. This is Borja Diaz, a Guadalajara player, who looks exactly like Sergio Ramos.”
It is difficult to see how the pair could look more alike, hence why people are only just clocking it is not the former Real Madrid and Sevilla defender.
One user commented: “Twins also do not look this similar.”

Of course, Barcelona are bitter rivals of Real Madrid and there’s no love lost between the teams when they meet.
But the rivalry was at its peak during Ramos’ days as a player, with intense El Clasico fixtures taking place in the early 2010s – the days of Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho in La Liga.
Guadalajara is a city just 30 miles from Madrid and they were playing against Barcelona – a team Ramos is known to have a real dislike towards.
Furthermore, Ramos’ contract has now ended with Monterrey, who were knocked out in the Liga MX semi-finals two weeks ago following a 4-2 aggregate defeat to Toluca over two legs.
Diaz, though, plays in midfield – unlike hardman defender Ramos.
On the night, Diaz and Guadalajara put up a valiant effort against the reigning Spanish and Copa Del Rey champions, holding them to 0-0 for 76 minutes – when former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen scored.
Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford made it 2-0 in stoppage time to send Barca into the round of 16.

With Ramos a free agent, he has been heavily linked with a move back to Europe in January.
Although he turns 40 in March, Ramos is believed to be targeting a place in Luis de la Fuente’s squad at the 2026 World Cup.
Ramos is dreaming of winning the prize for a second time, having won it already in 2010.
