Tom Aspinall appeared baffled to be the subject of one of Dana White’s infamous rants in the aftermath of UFC 324.
The heavyweight champion has been at odds with his promoter since just before his UFC 321 bout with Ciryl Gane, which was stopped in round one for a double eye poke. He had spoken about potentially moving to boxing after his contract was up, which irked White before a disastrous Abu Dhabi main event.

Since then the severity of his injury has come to light, and he has yet to even return to training as he continues to recover his vision. And White wants no more to do with the situation, begging reporters to stop asking him about it.

Tom Aspinall reacts after he ‘catches strays’ from Dana White in press conference
Unlike many British fans who stayed up through the night to watch Paddy Pimblett’s first effort at UFC gold, Tom Aspinall decided to watch it the morning after. In order to have a legitimate experience, he put his phone on flight mode and refused to find out the result, watching it first thing when he woke up,
He posted his reaction in a lengthy video on YouTube, which he actually started with a clip from the post-fight press conference. A reporter had asked Dana White about the status of his rematch with Ciryl Gane, and received a classic rant from the UFC CEO.
His reaction came towards the end of the video, with Aspinall seeming bemused by the clip. He then told the camera he’s “catching strays in my own living room on a Sunday morning!” He laughed and proceeded to advertise membership for his channel, not lingering too long on what was said.
Dana White didn’t want to comment on Tom Aspinall again
After a few instances where his comments on Aspinall rubbed fans up the wrong way, White was not happy to be asked about his situation again by a reporter in Las Vegas last night. He tried to deflect away, and begged them to ask the Brit for a quote instead.

“Oh Jesus,” he began. “Don’t let me talk about Tom Aspinall’s eye. Apparently he’s going in for a second surgery or just had it, and by surgery I mean injections, I have no idea. Get a quote from him, God f—ing forbid I say something about it!”
