Paddy Pimblett isn’t shying away from his UFC 324 loss to Justin Gaethje.

Pimblett and Gaethje collided in the headliner for UFC’s debut on Paramount+ back in January. While “The Baddy” was the favorite going into the fight, “The Highlight” proved his dream of becoming an undisputed UFC champion is still alive. Gaethje battered Pimblett on his way to a unanimous decision victory, capturing the interim UFC Lightweight Championship in the process.

One week removed from the defeat, Pimblett took to his YouTube channel to poke fun at how mangled his face looked for a short period of time after the fight.

“The one thing that made me laugh is I did say before the fight, ‘I want to make his face look different,’ and for a couple of days he made my face look different,” Pimblett said. “I had big shiners.”

Pimblett’s face has healed considerably and he provided a time frame for his next fight.

“That was at its worst,” Pimblett said. “I had big puffy eyes, but as you can see now it’s a week later. There’s nothing wrong with me. The only thing that’s up with me is probably got a scratched cornea or something like that. I’ll be back in the gym tomorrow. People think I’m going to have to take the rest of the year off. I’m not. I’ll be fighting in the summer.”

Pimblett will be looking to get back on track after falling short in his bid for interim gold. Prior to the loss against Gaethje, “The Baddy” was riding a nine-fight winning streak. Pimblett remains in the top five UFC lightweight rankings and he figures to still be in the title hunt.

Do you think Paddy Pimblett will bounce back? Who should he be matched up against next? Let us know in the comment section below.
