Swiss lightweight Seifeddine Letaief has told World Boxing News he is ready to settle a growing rivalry with fellow unbeaten fighter Arbnor Jashari in the ring.

Letaief currently sits No.1 in the Swiss rankings in his division, while Jashari occupies the No.2 position, creating a natural matchup between two undefeated fighters.

A meeting between the pair would pit the country’s two highest-ranked lightweights against each other.

The tension has grown through social media exchanges, FaceTime conversations about a potential fight, and verbal back-and-forth.

According to Letaief, the rivalry even escalated to the point where Jashari attempted to involve the SwissBoxing committee.

“At one point, he even tried to have me banned through SwissBoxing, claiming I humiliated him on social media,” Letaief told World Boxing News.

    Swiss Rivalry

Letaief insists the situation is simple from his perspective. The undefeated lightweight says he is ready to fight and believes the matchup should happen now rather than later.

“I’m ready to fight and settle everything in the ring,” he explained.

SwissBoxing has suggested waiting until both fighters have built bigger profiles before staging the bout, but Letaief believes the circumstances already make it an appealing fight for the local scene.

A clash between the country’s No.1 and No.2 fighters, combined with the rivalry between Zurich and Basel, could attract significant attention in Switzerland.

    Unbeaten Records

The 23-year-old Letaief turned professional in September 2024 and has compiled an unbeaten 6-0 record, including two knockouts. Based in Winterthur, he has already fought several times in the Zurich region while establishing himself as one of the country’s emerging prospects.

Jashari, meanwhile, has a slightly longer professional run. The 25-year-old made his debut in April 2022 and holds a 7-0 record with two knockouts.

Both fighters also share a common opponent, Lasha Giorgi Vardiashvili, with each recording a six-round decision victory in 2025.

For now, the fight many in the Swiss boxing community want to see remains unsigned, with Letaief making clear he is willing to move forward whenever the opportunity arises.

“Despite all the talk, the fight still hasn’t been made. From my side, it’s simple: I’m ready to fight and settle everything in the ring. I believe this fight needs to happen now,” concluded Letaief.
