An undrafted free agent out of Fort Valley State in 2023, Wilson emerged as a reliable depth option in the Packers’ backfield last season. The 25-year-old essentially took over the No. 2 role behind Josh Jacobs that was expected to go to MarShawn Lloyd, turning 114 touches into 550 scrimmage yards and five total touchdowns while averaging a strong 4.9 yards per carry. All three backs are expected to return for Green Bay in 2025, but Wilson’s usage could shrink significantly if Lloyd can overcome his injury issues.
A product of Division II Fort Valley State College, Wilson went undrafted in 2023 but proved to a useful depth option in the Packers’ backfield, particularly in the playoffs. Wilson’s power and burst make him a weapon between the tackles and a threat to break through to the second level, and he has some pass-catching skills as well. Josh Jacobs replaced Aaron Jones at the top of the Packers’ depth chart this offseason and the team also drafted MarShawn Lloyd in the third round, but Wilson could still be in the team’s plans.
