Ulberg faced his toughest test to date in Macau last November when he faced former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir.
For the first time since his fight against Cherant, Ulberg needed the full 15 minutes to secure the victory over Oezdemir, ultimately edging out a unanimous decision win against “No Time”. Throughout the fight, both men were trading their fair share of shots. In the third frame, Oezdemir decided to start throwing some leg kicks and trying to find a way to take Ulberg down, but “Black Jag” was able to stand his ground and continue to throw shots.
When the scorecards were read it was unanimous (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) for Ulberg, who picked up his seventh win a row and had his sights sent on an opponent higher up in the rankings.
