Charles Oliveira has two particular fighters in mind that he would defend his title against in a fantasy fight.
This past March, Charles Oliveira continued his incredible UFC career when he dethroned Max Holloway of the BMF title after an extremely dominant five round display.
‘Do Bronx’ received quite a lot of controversy from the MMA world because of the way in which he won the title, accumulating over 20 minutes of control time on the ground.
And although Arman Tsarukyan is plotting to take the BMF title away from the Brazilian, the 36-year-old has two other names in mind that he would choose to defend his title against in a fantasy fight.
Oliveira picks Georges St-Pierre as his fantasy BMF opponent
The BMF title signifies a fighter who is willing to fight anyone, anytime, anywhere, no matter the weight class or the ramifications.
And when Oliveira was asked his dream BMF opponent retired or active by Bloody Elbow via Casinohawks, he named Georges St-Pierre as his dream opponent.
“We’ve got to be careful with what we say,” Oliveira told Bloody Elbow.
“I’ll talk about what’s happening right now. We’ve got Tsarukyan saying plenty. We’ve got Nate Diaz saying plenty. We’ve got Conor McGregor saying plenty. So we need to understand what the UFC wants to do.
“But if I could choose someone, with all due respect, I’d name two: Georges St-Pierre and BJ Penn. Because of the history they made.”
St-Pierre is widely included in GOAT debates and even though BJ Penn had a lot of success throughout his career, his seven fight losing streak to end his career somewhat plagued his career.

“As a fan, many times I watched St-Pierre and I was left speechless. So as a fan, for everything I watched those men do on the screen, officially watching them. If I could say, ‘Blimey, if I was to fight’, it would be those men from that era,” Oliveira continued.
St-Pierre didn’t particularly have a style symbolic of a BMF, as he was more of a slick well rounded fighter who would use his fight IQ to outperform his opponents.
Responding to suggestions from Bloody Elbow fans that the BMF title should only be able to change hands if there is a submission or knockout, Oliveira said: “I think the people (criticizing) are the people who only came from the striking side or who never got close to my history of what I’ve done.
“If the UFC rings me and says ‘Charles you’ll have to defend your title and it only counts by knockout or submission’ then I’ll do everything I can to become champion again by knockout or submission.”
