MIKEL ARTETA says his Arsenal stars  are being powered by the dream of creating club history.

The Gunners host Fulham on Saturday evening  looking to boost their hopes of  a first Premier League title in 22 years.

They then face Atletico Madrid in Tuesday’s  Champions League semi-final second leg as they chase a first-ever  triumph in the competition.

Boss Arteta said: “When you have a chance to make history, you have to embrace it.

“That is what we have been working for, it’s the goal we set at the start of the season.

“When you pursue a dream and  have it in front of you, you have to do your best to achieve it.

“We know what’s at stake. Everybody has to  take ownership of the moment as the impact  you can have now will define the history of the club.

“That’s a  powerful thing. We just have a  hunger to win.”

Skipper Martin Odegaard is a doubt today after going off with a knee injury in Wednesday’s 1-1 Euro draw at Atletico.

Arteta said: “He  is the captain for  a reason. He has a  personality, an aura and a way to conduct and raise  standards.

“He is a player who brings us so much energy  as  he is  so  demanding.”

Injury-jinxed Kai Havertz is out  with  a groin issue.

Arteta admitted: “He’s been a huge miss. We’re talking about one of our most important attacking players  —  and he’s been out for seven or eight months.

“He’s not  the only one, unfortunately, with  long-term injuries and players that  we have missed.

“The team have shown an incredible capacity to overcome these  scenarios and still be  competitive.”

Meanwhile, Declan Rice has been left  to stew by Uefa over a potential ban.

He claimed  Atletico  fans had “provoked” a penalty  U-turn  on Wednesday.

Ref Danny Makkelie  gave a spot-kick when Eberechi Eze went down in the area  but changed his mind after  VAR intervened.

Uefa chiefs are yet to make a decision on Rice’s comments as they await the  official’s report.
