A Philadelphia Phillies fan went viral for chasing down and taking away a home-run ball from a child after confronting the boy’s father during Friday night’s game against the Miami Marlins.The incident occurred after Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader crushed a home run into left field. As the ball hit the bleachers and rolled around, four fans scrambled for it. Thomas Sorber, the No. 15 pick of the Oklahoma City Thunder in last June’s NBA Draft, will miss his entire rookie season after tearing his ACL and needing to undergo surgery, the team announced.Sorber suffered the injury during a workout in Oklahoma City. He did not play at Summer League this year because he was still recovering from a foot injury that ended his season at Georgetown early. Safety Amani Hooker and the Tennessee Titans have reached agreement on a three-year, $48.3 million extension, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports.The Titans officially announced the signing on Saturday.The $16.2 million in average annual salary puts Hooker among the top 10 highest-paid safeties in the NFL. The contract includes $29 million in guaranteed money. Davey Johnson, who won three World Series titles as a player and manager with the Baltimore Orioles and New York Mets, has died. Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington has agreed to a four-year, $90 million contract extension with the franchise, agent Kevin Bradbury of Lift Sports Management told ESPN. Despite spending a ton of money in free agency last summer – $56.3 million combined for Laurent Brossoit, TJ Brodie, Alec Martinez, Teuvo Teravainen and Tyler Bertuzzi – the Blackhawks netted just two more wins than the previous season.
