The Falcons have added another quarterback. Veteran quarterback Ben DiNucci announced on Monday that he’s signed with Atlanta. DiNucci, 28, was last with the Saints. He had joined the club’s practice squad late last year and signed a futures deal with New Orleans after the season. But the team released him in late April.DiNucci was a Cowboys seventh-round pick in 2020 and appeared in three games with one start as a rookie. He has not appeared in a regular-season game since. He’s now set to join a quarterbacks room that currently includes Michael Penix Jr., Kirk Cousins, Emory Jones, and Easton…
Dricus Du Plessis didn’t have much fun on Saturday night. | Getty/UFC Dricus Du Plessis simply had no answers for Khamzat Chimaev’s wrestling. The South African’s middleweight championship reign ended in lopsided fashion at UFC 319, as Du Plessis was grounded repeatedly in a unanimous decision defeat at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday night. Du Plessis did his best to explain Chimaev’s dominance in a post-fight interview. “The man has incredible control on the top. He was just like a blanket,” Du Plessis said. It wasn’t a matter of strength, it wasn’t that physical, it was just almost as…
Bukayo Saka has said Arsenal will be punished if they repeat the “sloppiness and bad decisions” they displayed in Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.Arsenal claimed all three points through Riccardo Calafiori’s 13th-minute header after the United goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, palmed the ball on to the left-back’s head from a Declan Rice corner. Overall, the visitors were ineffective, managing only nine shots to United’s 22. United also dominated possession, with a 61.9% share.“It was not a great performance,” Saka said. “We were not up to our usual standards, the basics, sloppy giveaways. Our decision-making was not great…
Its Monday, August 18 and the Brewers (78-45) are in Chicago to take on the Cubs (70-53) in the first of a day / night doubleheader. Sitting eight games behind the Brewers, it is a crucial series for the Cubs’ division title hopes…assuming there is still a flicker of hope there.Freddy Peralta is slated to take the mound for Milwaukee against Cade Horton for Chicago. The Cubs won yesterday 4-3 at Wrigley against the Pirates to take two of three in the weekend series. Dansby Swanson drove in the winning run to secure Sunday’s win but far more important for Chicago…
While the bulk of the New York Knicks’ roster is set for the start of the 2025-26 season, the team still has some loose ends to tie up before the start of the season. After signing Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele, who took slightly less than the taxpayer midlevel exception to come to the Knicks, New York can round out its main roster with one more veteran minimum player and a second-round rookie exception player. It’s far too early to make too many sweeping conclusions about how the depth chart will look under new head coach Mike Brown, especially considering the Knicks…

He stood, unsteady and glassy eyed, and the fight was sensibly waved off. Whyte complained, Itauma celebrated, and the sport has a new star.Itauma is just 20, the…

He previously covered the NFL at The Ringer, Bleeding Green Nation and The Draft Network. It’s mid-August, which means most NFL teams are more than halfway through training camp. Joint practices and blistering heat together have worn on everyone’s patience. It’s time for the season to get here. But first: one more camp notebook.I hit 10 teams in eight states on my tour this year. I really love touring — I like the driving, the different areas of the country, the padded practices, the…
It is safe to say that UFC 319 did not go to plan for this former title challenger, who entered as the card’s biggest favorite. There were plenty of impressive performances in Chicago this past Saturday night, as the UFC 319 pay-per-view went down from the United Center and marked the promotion’s first event in the city since before the pandemic.Khamzat Chimaev’s dominant win over Dricus du Plessis stole the headlines, but when it came to finishes, it was the undercard that delivered in spades.Unsurprisingly, a pair of consecutive spinning back elbow knockouts emerged as the main talking point, somewhat overshadowing…
Aug 17, 2025, 06:24 PM ETBOSTON — Marlins right fielder Dane Myers felt like a fan at Fenway Park was heckling him beyond what was appropriate, verbal abuse that began before he hit a tying homer in the ninth inning to help Miami rally past the Boston Red Sox on Sunday.Myers said the heckling began in the eighth when the Red Sox led 3-2 and continued in the ninth after he homered and rookie Jakob Marsee followed with a two-run shot to put the Marlins on top.”Maybe so,” he said when asked if the fan said something inappropriate. “I don’t…
