Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga still far apart in contract talks with no resolution in sight, per report
The stalemate between the Golden State Warriors and restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga is now the focal point of the NBA offseason, and Wednesday we learned exactly how far apart the two sides are in contract talks. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania and Anthony Slater, the Warriors are offering a two-year, $45 million deal, while Kuminga is requesting a three-year, $82 million contract. The biggest issue with the Warriors’ offer isn’t just the financials — although it’s clear Kuminga still wants north of $25 million per year, which seemingly no one is willing to offer — but the details and contract…

I’ve taken a look at the Super Bowl odds to share our best and worst teams to bet based on market value, and now I’m going to do the same with the division winner market. We hit big in last year’s division winner betting strategy article thanks to going 3-1 on the one-unit plays and then nailing the Rams as a +360 underdog to win the NFC West, and again there are valuable underdogs worth backing, which I’ll get to below. The Bills are the biggest favorites to win their division at around -300 at most books, with the Ravens and…
While most footballers spend the off-season unwinding on a beach or sticking to light training, Josko Gvardiol had a very different idea: become a full-blown action hero.Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, the Manchester City defender threw himself into a “real-life commando mission” back home in Croatia – courtesy of Commando Squad 9, a company that turns tactical video game-style war scenarios into immersive, real-world experiences.Decked out in full military-style gear, Gvardiol took part in a full range of simulated combat challenges. Photos shared on his Instagram showed the Croatian centre-back storming through forests, blending into the terrain, navigating water missions,…
Jul 29, 2025, 11:26 PM ETSAN DIEGO — New York Mets slugger Juan Soto was removed from Tuesday night’s game a half-inning after fouling a ball off the top of his left foot in the fourth. The team announced that Soto had a bruised foot. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said X-rays were negative.”That’s good news there,” Mendoza said after a 7-1 loss to the Padres. “So he’s day-to-day. We’ll see where we’re at for tomorrow, to see if he’s going to be available for the lineup.”Soto appeared to be in considerable pain. He hopped down the first-base line on his right…
No NBA team is more desperate for shot creation than the Brooklyn Nets. The offense’s best chance to fabricate an open look comes possibly from an unpolished 19-year-old, Egor Demin, who Brooklyn selected with the No. 8 pick in last month’s draft. Or maybe it’s from a veteran scorer who feasts on spot-up jumpers but isn’t known for his work off the dribble, Michael Porter Jr. Or it’s potentially from former second-round pick Tyrese Martin, who caught fire in spurts pulling up from long range this past season but was on a two-way contract until February. As of now, these are the…

Chargers legend Antonio Gates will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday in Canton, Ohio. While his greatness was rooted in many attributes — explosiveness, power, spatial awareness, toughness, route running, hands — there is one trait that vaulted him from college basketball star to the very top of an entirely different sport.“He knew when it was time to deliver,” said Rob Chudzinski, who was Gates’ tight ends coach for four seasons with the Chargers, “and he did.”The results of football games often hinge on what happens in key situations. Gates was one of the best…
