After a successful first week back in action, more hopefuls will be gunning to earn a UFC contract on episode two of Dana White’s Contender Series
After both Baysangur Susurkaev and Ty Miller earned contracts with their wins on episode one of Dana White’s Contender Series, there is keen interest in who else will be given UFC deals on August 19.
Susurkaev has already booked his debut at UFC 319 in a quick turnaround, with the other prospects hoping their career in the promotion can kick off equally fast.
However, they will need to win in impressive fashion if they want to catch the eye of Dana White, who is searching for some of the next big stars to conquer the UFC in all weight classes.
We’ve compiled a handy list of five of the top prospects from the second episode of the ninth season of Dana White’s Contender Series.

5. Jose Delano
One man who could make a big splash on Dana White’s Contender Series is the Brazilian featherweight prospect, Jose “Ze” Delano.
The 28-year-old already has bags of experience, fighting 18 times already since turning professional.
He is dangerous in the octagon, able to pull out a knockout or submission win out of nowhere, as he has proved many times so far.
While he will have to contend with an impressive Argentinian in Manuel Exposito, Delano should have the ability to take him down and make him stay there to earn himself a UFC contract.
4. Brandon Holmes
While only five fights into his career, American fighter Brandon Holmes is poised to make a splash when he fights on episode 2 of the ninth season of Dana White’s Contender Series.
The 28-year-old made his professional debut in December 2023 and has gone on to pick up five consecutive wins, three via knockout.
That stretch of victories impressed White enough to earn a spot on his Contender Series. Despite his inexperience, Holmes should be able to put away Cam Rowston when they face off on Tuesday night.
3. Louis Lee Scott
In the search for the next top English fighter, White may find it on Tuesday when Louis Lee Scott looks to decimate Kaushik Saikumar in the octagon.
The Bantamweight fighter is known for his lightning-quick hands, and has accrued a series of impressive knockout and submission wins despite being just 25 years old.
The Leeds-based fighter trained in Muay Thai, which has formed a fantastic base that could see him become a fixture in the UFC with some good performances, starting on Dana White’s Contender Series.
2. Ramiro Jimenez
El Cachanilla may not be the biggest Featherweight in the division, but his record speaks for itself, leading up to the biggest fight of his career.
Ramiro Jimenez is one of the top Featherweights outside of the UFC, ranking #61 in North America after ten straight wins, leaving him undefeated in his career.
The five-foot-eight Mexican fighter has only been taken past the first round twice in his career, with only one man going all three rounds in his ten fights.
With five KO wins and three submissions to his name, Jimenez is definitely one to watch out for on Tuesday.
1. Josh Hokit
Arguably, the biggest prospect in Season 9 of Dana White’s Contender Series is competing on episode 2, as Josh Hokit turns his attention away from the football field and towards the octagon.
The Heavyweight fighter spent two years in the NFL before moving into MMA and has impressed with two wins in Bellator and five wins overall in his young career.
Hokit looks like he could be a real star if he can earn himself a contract with a win here. Brazilian fighter Guilherme Uriel is in his way, but he can get past the Heavyweight contender, then a big future awaits the six-foot-one, 242 lb fighter.
