Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory over Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu, maintaining their perfect start to the LaLiga season.

Despite a shock early lead from Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi, Los Blancos responded with goals from Arda Guler and Vinícius Júnior before halftime.

The second half saw Real Madrid dominate possession but fail to extend their lead, with Kylian Mbappé having two goals disallowed for offside. The win propels Real Madrid to the top of the league table, while Mallorca remains in the relegation zone.

Vinícius Júnior was the standout performer, scoring a sensational goal that turned the tide in Real Madrid’s favor. His pace and skill on the ball were instrumental in breaking down Mallorca’s defense.

Real Madrid’s xG (expected goals) of 1.85 highlights their attacking prowess, while Mallorca’s xG of 0.15 underscores their struggle to create clear-cut chances after their opening goal.

Real Madrid’s resilience was on full display as they overturned an early deficit with quick goals from Guler and Vinícius Júnior. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s impressive debut showcased his ability to impact the game from the right flank, despite being left out of England’s squad. Mallorca’s defensive setup initially frustrated Los Blancos, but their inability to maintain pressure allowed Real Madrid to dominate. The Bernabeu crowd’s energy was palpable, driving the home team to a crucial victory.

Real Madrid’s victory propels them to the top of the LaLiga standings with nine points from three matches, highlighting their strong start to the season. Meanwhile, Mallorca’s struggles continue as they drop to 18th place, firmly in the relegation zone.

Real Madrid will travel to face Real Sociedad, aiming to maintain their lead at the top of the table. Mallorca, still searching for their first win, will face Espanyol in a crucial match to climb out of the relegation zone.

Real Madrid’s victory extends their dominance over Mallorca, with eight wins in their last 11 encounters. Mallorca has managed only two wins against Los Blancos, with one match ending in a draw.
