Israel Adesanya believes Carlos Ulberg should receive the next UFC light heavyweight championship shot against Alex Pereira.
In the wake of his knockout win over Dominick Reyes, there was a lot of talk about Carlos Ulberg receiving the next title shot at 205 pounds. Of course, we had to wait and see how the UFC 320 main event played out, and we now know that Alex Pereira is once again the king of the division after finishing Magomed Ankalaev in the first round of their rematch.

Because of that, some have suggested that it makes sense for Jiri Prochazka to get a trilogy fight against ‘Poatan’ in an attempt to finally overcome his rival. On the flip side, Ulberg is on an incredible win streak right now and he has proven time and time again that he can handle the pressure in big situations.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Israel Adesanya gave his thoughts on the possibility of Pereira vs Ulberg taking place.
Adesanya backs Pereira vs Ulberg
“I still think Carlos should get the next shot because, good fight, crazy fight, but if it’s Pereira again, they’re probably going to give it to Carlos, as they should,” Adesanya said on his YouTube channel, reacting to Prochazka vs. Rountree Jr.
“I think Carlos vs. Alex,” Adesanya said. “I like that. That should be next.”
