Sean Strickland’s return to the Octagon has been overshadowed by massive fight news.
The former middleweight champion will face Anthony Hernandez at UFC Houston on Saturday night.
However, fight fans are more interested in Ronda Rousey’s return from her 10-year retirement.
On Tuesday, it was announced that ‘Rowdy’ will face fellow legend Gina Carano in California on May 16.

Sean Strickland trashes Ronda Rousey’s comeback fight
Ronda Rousey hasn’t fought since getting KO’d in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes at UFC 247 in December 2016.
The 39-year-old later revealed that her retirement was due to a long history of concussion issues.
Gina Carano hasn’t competed since falling to her lone MMA loss against Cris Cyborg in August 2009.
The 43-year-old ‘Deadpool’ star has built a successful second career in acting over the past 17 years.
Now, Carano is returning to fighting, and everyone except Sean Strickland appears to be excited about that.
“It’s f—ing r——-,” he said when asked about the Netflix super fight between Rousey and Carano.
“Ronda Rousey’s gonna steamroll her. Ronda was an Olympian that was a multi-time world champion.
“Gina Carano was pretty in a time when women’s MMA sucked. It’s still not very good, but when Gina Carano was fighting, it was significantly worse.
“We’re just gonna watch two middle-aged women, f—ing going through menopause, fight each other.
“I have no interest in that. Who gives a f—?”
Ronda Rousey’s failed UFC talks
The most shocking part of Ronda Rousey’s comeback is the fact that it will take place outside of the UFC.
Jake Paul‘s Most Valuable Promotions will host her fight with Gina Carano later this year.
Rousey had talks with Dana White about fighting Carano in the UFC, but they ‘didn’t work out’
“I always said that Gina is the one person I’d come back to fight for,” Rousey told ESPN’s SportsCenter in her first interview since the fight was confirmed on Tuesday. “I thought, ‘She needs this. She needs this fight.’
“The more that I thought about it, I thought, ‘I need this. I need this fight.’ I reached out to Dana [White] and asked him if he would be interested in it, and it didn’t exactly work out with the UFC. But it led us to here today.”
